We’re looking for a Mobile Equipment Operator to join our Feist-Weiller Cancer Center. The Mobile Equipment Operator I is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and logistical support of a 45-foot mobile mammography screening motor coach. This position also provides direct assistance to Nurse Practitioners and administrative/clerical support to ensure the efficient delivery of cancer screening, education, and outreach services to underserved communities throughout North and Central Louisiana. The position plays a critical role in supporting programmatic goals, community access to care, and mobile clinic operations. Responsibilities

  • Operate a 45-foot mobile mammography unit and travel to screening locations throughout North and Central Louisiana.
  • Transport clinical staff, equipment, and supplies to community outreach and cancer screening events.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation of the mobile clinic.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down the mobile screening unit at clinic locations.
  • Monitor and coordinate routine maintenance and repairs for the mobile clinic and its onboard systems.
  • Maintain vehicle, inspection, mileage, and maintenance records.
  • Support clinical staff during mobile and on-campus screening events by assisting with patient flow and clinic operations.
  • Greet patients and provide customer service to support a positive screening experience.
  • Schedule appointments, answer phones, and assist with patient follow-up activities.
  • Enter and maintain patient and screening information in databases and record systems while ensuring confidentiality requirements are met.
