About The Position

The Mobile Equipment Operator is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of material within the yard. This includes loading and unloading trailers, loading and unloading Kilns, loading and unloading Pole Charges, and moving material in and around the yard. This will entail working both in and out of the loader/forklift to complete any assigned tasks.

Requirements

Valid driver's license
Clean drivers abstract
Sit for significant periods of time (7 hours or more)
Be able to lift 50lbs unassisted
Good manual dexterity, hand eye co-ordination
Comfortable completing repetitive tasks
Attention to detail
Basic trouble-shooting skills
Ability to work under pressure
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills
Work independently and be flexible regarding work assignments

Nice To Haves

Forklift License is an asset (will train)

Responsibilities

Work in compliance with all company rules and regulations
Follow all company Health & Safety policies and SOPs
Wear all PPE required and work in a safe manner
Participate in all company mandated training in good faith
Come to work prepared (both mentally and materially) to work in a variety of environments
Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Complete appropriate forms legibly and clearly
Complete forklift training and any refresher training required
Complete loader/heavy equipment training and any refresher training required
Follow and understand daily production schedules
Load/Unload trucks quickly, efficiently and accurately
Label parts and products clearly and accurately as required
Maintain accurate paperwork as required
Maintain good housekeeping in all assigned areas
Abide to OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) workplace health and safety standards
Report all Health & Safety issues immediately
Performs other duties as assigned
