About The Position

The Mobile Equipment Operator - Level II position is a key position transporting materials throughout the quarry into piles, trucks or crushers, depending upon production/shipping requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and write
  • Experience working in varying weather elements.
  • Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment
  • Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
  • Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
  • Highly dependable, ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to learn plant flow, plant operations and screening
  • Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests

Nice To Haves

  • Quarry experience preferred.
  • Additional Education Preferred: High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in a construction or quarry environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Primary operations of front end loaders (993s, 992s, 980s, etc.), dozers, backhoes, grader, excavators and skid steer loaders.
  • Depending upon quarry operational requirements, operating mobile equipment to include, but not limited to front end loaders (993s, 992s, 980s, etc.), haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, grader, fuel truck, dredge and skid steer loaders
  • Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems.
  • Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
  • Do any cleanup that is necessary to have a better and safer working environment.
  • Taking accurate and reliable counts of material additions as required.
  • Maintain strong communication with quality personnel and make adjustment to material blends as required
  • Communicate all safety, maintenance and production needs.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
