The Caddo Levee District was created in 1892 by Act 74 of the General Assembly of the State of Louisiana for the primary purpose of maintaining and operating the levee systems along the right descending bank of Red River, as well as the levee systems of Twelve Mile Bayou and Black Bayou. The Caddo Levee District ensures the integrity of the levee system throughout the year and during times of emergency, responds with trained personnel and the necessary equipment to provide protection of lives and property. About this position The typical day of work activities for a Mobile Equipment Operator 1- Heavy are hauling heavy equipment to destinations and using equipment like bulldozers, excavators and tractors to work on and along levees and drainage channels. This incumbent will work under the supervision of Levee Maintenance Superintendent.
