About The Position

Responsible for maintaining the mobile equipment fleet in a state of readiness, including heavy construction, automotive equipment, mechanical equipment and machinery. Performs the appropriate vehicle/mobile equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 3-5 years of working on diesel engines and equipment
  • Knowledge of processing methods and appropriate planning techniques.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with haul trucks, loaders, and various mine equipment
  • Good communication
  • Able to operate Shop Tools, Air and Hydraulic Jacks, Grinders and Welders
  • Strong ability to work self-directed.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and sound decision making based upon available
  • Flexible, able to adjust to changing priorities and propose improvement
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Adheres to all safety protocol to include confined space entry, lock-out-tag-out, working at heights, wearing appropriate safety glasses, gloves and other personal protective equipment, as well as all OSHA, MSHA requirements.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment failures. Provide repair and maintenance to diesel and gasoline engines. Adjust and repair ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic and steering systems.
  • Operates and inspects heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects.
  • Diagnoses faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
  • Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
  • Schedules maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keeps equipment service records.
  • Reads and interprets manuals, blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Lubricate equipment. Maintain and repair tires, batteries, brakes and valves.
  • Other duties as assigned.
