About The Position

Join Vanguard's Mobile development team to work on cutting-edge iOS and Android apps in an agile environment. Gain experience in native app development, programming languages (Swift/Objective-C, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java), design patterns, and data modeling. Enhance your communication skills and collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers. This is an exciting 6-month co-op opportunity that begins in September and runs through March. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working alongside talented engineers and contributing to impactful projects from day one.

Requirements

• Must be able to start in September and end in mid-late March.
• Must be able to work hybrid model (Monday and Friday option to work from home, Tuesday - Thursday onsite).
• Pursuing a degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 0–3 years of developer experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Good analysis and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• iOS: Object-oriented design, data structures, dependency injection, testable code, algorithms, iOS SDK/XCode, Swift 5, Git, Honeycomb, Splunk.
• Android: Android SDK/Studio, Dagger, RXJava, Retrofit/OKHttp, Jetpack Compose, MVVM, Git, Coroutines, Hilt, Espresso.
