Mobile Diesel Mechanic - 6AM - 3PM shift
About The Position
Prestige Fleet Services is the fastest-growing fleet maintenance network in the country, utilizing cutting-edge technology to reduce administrative time for technicians. They are a locally run, family-oriented company serving the community and are looking for talented technicians to grow with them. Prestige Fleet Services provides on-site truck and trailer maintenance and repairs, with experienced technicians dedicated to high-quality service. Their mobile repair experts come to the customer's location, performing all maintenance and repairs around the customer's schedule. All technicians are D.O.T. and brake certified and capable of performing a wide range of repairs and services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience preferred.
- Communication skills
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when needed
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
- Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hours, and updating work order statuses
- 2 years of experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
- 2 years of experience in truck/ trailer maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must possess proper tools
Nice To Haves
- High School education or equivalent
- Certifications are a plus
- Welding experience
- CDL, a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and inspections on a variety of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, tires, etc.
- Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
- Repair/Replace vehicle/ trailer components.
- Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
- Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
- Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
