About The Position

Prestige Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to perform on-site maintenance and repairs for Class 6–8 trucks and trailers. The company describes itself as a locally run, family-oriented fleet maintenance network that provides mobile service at customers’ locations and uses technology to reduce administrative work. The role includes inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, repair-order processing, parts procurement, inventory management, and documentation.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.
At least 2 years of experience in truck/trailer maintenance and repair, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Valid driver’s license.
Communication skills.
Self-motivation and strong organization and planning skills.
Ability to use a computer or tablet to process work orders, add labor hours, and update work-order statuses.
Basic computer skills.
Must possess proper tools.
Ability to work extended or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays when needed.
Ability to complete the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

At least 3 years of diesel and trailer repair experience (preferred).
High school education or equivalent.
Relevant certifications.
Welding experience.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs and inspections on Class 6–8 trucks and trailers, including brakes, diagnostics, A/C, electrical systems, engine components, exhaust and after-treatment systems, lift-gates, and tires.
Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
Repair or replace vehicle and trailer components.
Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device.
Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service truck.
Complete DOT forms and other documentation accurately and on time.
