About The Position

Mobile Diesel Mechanic | Monday-Friday | Sign-On Bonus Earn $27-$37/hour Based on Experience + Performance Bonuses + Sign-On Bonus Looking for a diesel technician role that offers independence, variety, and a predictable schedule? Vortex Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Mechanic to support commercial fleets throughout the Jackson, TN area. Instead of spending every day in the same shop, you'll work from a fully equipped service vehicle, diagnosing and repairing vehicles directly at customer locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of DOT compliance requirements
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Must provide own tools
• 2+ years of diesel repair experience OR technical school training

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certification
• DOT Certification
• CDL

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel and gas-powered fleet vehicles.
• Respond to service calls.
• Complete preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues.
• Install replacement components.
• Document completed work.
• Perform a mix of mobile fleet maintenance and roadside repair work.
