About The Position

The Mobile Diesel Mechanic will perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment in the field. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, ensuring all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The mechanic will also learn and partner with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain accurate maintenance records, perform other general maintenance duties as required, and collaborate with Team Members outside of the department to ensure the overall success of the operation.

Requirements

• Two to three years of Semi-Truck Fleet Mechanic experience
• Experience with a variety of trucks is a plus
• Confidence in repairing suspensions, rear ends, transmissions, air brake systems, minor engine work (injectors, turbos, etc.) and more
• Expert in identifying and diagnosing needed repairs by computer-based systems
• Ability to visually recognize problems is a big plus
• Class A CDL is a plus, but not required
• Ability to weld aluminum is a plus
• English communication skills are essential for safety
• Ability to understand and interpret both written and verbal operational and safety guidelines, as well as related regulations, policies, and memos
• Clear and effective communication with colleagues and superiors is a key requirement for this role
• Ensure compliance to strict OSHA and State regulations
