This entry-level, field-based role is ideal for technicians or recent tech school graduates looking to launch their careers and expand their skill sets. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and light repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, utilizing a fully equipped company service truck and supported by a team that values your skill and dedication. You will tackle new challenges daily, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient service.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on diesel tech experience working on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers.
- DOT inspection and preventative maintenance expertise.
- Strong communication skills to connect and communicate with customers and drivers.
- Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems, and digital tools.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Independent, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Positive attitude and safety-first mindset.
- Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.
- Must bring own hand tools.
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and light follow-up repairs on Class 6-8 trucks and trailers in a mobile field environment.
- Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform repairs.
- Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.
- Work with trusted vendors to source parts and maintain operations.
- Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, performing maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring safety compliance.
- Support team members as needed.
