About The Position

The Mobile Crisis Response personnel are responsible for the assessment and disposition of crisis emergencies within the CCC Service area, which includes Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Perry, and Ste. Genevieve Counties. This role involves responding to individuals at risk of harming themselves or others, conducting assessments of their current situation to ensure safety, and determining the most appropriate course of treatment. The position requires close collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency departments, as well as providing agency discharge documentation as needed. The Crisis Intervention Program provides outreach services for individuals at risk, with master's degreed professionals conducting nonjudgmental assessments to ensure physical and psychological safety and determine treatment disposition. Community Counseling Center (CCC), in conjunction with the Department of Mental Health, operates an 800 Crisis Line through a regional contract, utilizing the Missouri Access Crisis and Response System (MOCARS). Emergency calls are screened by Behavioral Health Response (BHR), which then forwards caller information to the on-call staff for assessment and disposition in emergency rooms and law enforcement offices within the designated counties.

Requirements

• Must meet the Tier Two MCR requirements outlined by the Missouri Department of Behavioral Health.
• Must possess a master's or bachelor's degree in a human services field.
• Must possess a Valid Missouri Class E driver's license (Class D for IL resident).
• Must possess proof of continuous auto insurance.
• Must have an acceptable driving record as outlined by agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis emergencies and provide assessments per agency procedures in Madison, Ste. Genevieve, and Perry counties.
• Make appropriate referrals.
• Assist with hospitalizations.
• Coordinate with other agencies and resources.
• Complete the involuntary commitment process if needed.
• Provide follow-up on disposition to ensure linkage to services.
• Assist with Agency Discharges as needed.
• Ensure documentation is complete and accurate, including Crisis Screening Assessment, PHQ-9, Columbia Severity Suicide Rating Scale (C-SSRS), and Stanley Brown Safety Plan.
• Communicate and collaborate with client's treatment teams, outside providers, and support systems to obtain information and assist in safety planning.
