About The Position

Network180 is the Behavioral Health Community organization responsible for the delivery of mental health, substance abuse treatment coordination, and developmental disabilities services for Kent County. We are seeking a Mobile Crisis Response Clinician to provide intervention services as a member of a community-based crisis response team serving clients and families in Kent County. The person in this role will complete psycho-social risk assessments in crisis situations, provides crisis intervention services, and coordinates services with police, courts, schools, and other community agencies. This position is scheduled for one weekend per month, Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work or psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
  • Limited or full licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three (3) months of hire.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
  • Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.

Nice To Haves

  • Full Licensure in the State of Michigan as a licensed master social worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist.
  • One year of experience in community-based crisis intervention.
  • Specialized training and at least one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Credentialed through the Michigan Certificate Board for Addiction Professionals.
  • Three years of post-graduate experience.
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.

Responsibilities

  • Complete psycho-social risk assessments in crisis situations.
  • Provide crisis intervention services.
  • Coordinate services with police, courts, schools, and other community agencies.
