About The Position

SAFY is seeking a full-time Mobile Crisis Responder in Colorado to serve in the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Douglas, Jefferson, Gilpin, and Clear Creek. As a Mobile Crisis Responder, you are required to work (3) 12-hour shifts per week. As a Mobile Crisis Responder, you will be responsible for providing a range of moderately to high complex clinical services with children, adolescents, and identified adults. Be able to assist families in coordination, identification of resources and assisting with case management in a remote/mobile work setting.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in the field of social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy or other approved related field of human services.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance coverage to meet travel requirements; may require transporting youth if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of crisis experience preferred.
  • Two years of relevant experience preferred in the field of mental health/therapeutic intervention with children, adolescents, families, and older adults/geriatric.
  • Strong understanding of M-1 Holds.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a range of moderately complex clinical services with children, adolescents, and adults. This will include diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and psychoeducational, tangible skill building, support, and crisis navigation.
  • Participates in the development of the Individual Service Plan and provides resources for ongoing mental health services.
  • Provide services at the level of frequency, intensity, and duration appropriate to prevent placement or achieve reunification.
  • Services provided are tailored to each individual/family’s needs, problems, strengths, lifestyle, and culture.
  • Develop and maintain a consultative and liaison relationship with caregivers (e.g., schools, human services agencies, etc.) to cultivate work relations, provide consultative services and/or promote the coordination and development of mental health services.
  • Establish mutually respectful rapport and implement interventions necessary to meet needs of client/collaterals; appropriately set limits and maintain helping role as a Mental Health practitioner.
  • Complete assessments as required by state rules, agency policies, and/or contract requirements. Assessments may include psychosocial assessments, Diagnostic Assessment Forms, and independent living skills assessments.
