Requirements

  • Current licensure in California as an LVN or LPT
  • Current CA driver's license.
  • Current CPR and first aid certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in mental health nursing preferred.
  • Knowledge of DBT, WRAP and psychosocial rehabilitation principles preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures we are providing safe, effective, and compassionate responses to individuals during a mental crisis.
  • Respond to calls from dispatch involving a mental health crisis in various settings.
  • Travel to the location of the caller and provide crisis intervention services, including assessing and documenting holds.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the Peer Specialist as part of the Mobile Response Team (MRT).
  • The Crestwood Behavioral Health Mobile Response Team (MRT) provides community-based interventions for those experiencing a mental health crisis.
  • The team is available to deploy into the community to provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and stabilization.
  • The MRT is staffed by Licensed/Registered Mental Health Counselors and Peer Specialists who can provide services throughout Napa County including residences, parks, shelters, schools, and hospitals.
  • The goal of MRT is to de-escalate the crisis and safely connect individuals with mental health care and resources.
  • Crestwood’s Crisis Stabilization Unit is a program that is based in a recovery-focused environment where children, adolescents and adults in crisis are welcomed into a calm, warm, compassionate environment so that they may be assessed and provided mental health stabilization services, medication evaluation, management and linkages to a wide-range of outpatient and inpatient mental health services.
