About The Position

Terros Health is a healthcare organization dedicated to whole-person health through an integrated care delivery system. We are seeking individuals currently enrolled in their Master's Program with an emphasis in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other behavioral health specialties for our Student Program. This is an opportunity for clinical rotations or a traditional internship with a leading healthcare organization. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's Program with an emphasis in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other behavioral health specialties.
  • Currently enrolled in a supervised field instruction class.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Completion of the pre-student/Intern/Practicum onboarding process (may include criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen).
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for one within 7 working days of assuming the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in Crisis.
  • Strong presentation skills are highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks related to the student's specific area of study and the Intern learning contract under the supervision of a qualified Terros Health professional.
  • Apply and continue to learn the principles, theory, and knowledge from coursework through practical application in a professional healthcare setting.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the community behavioral health system.
  • Gain strong skills in crisis assessment (including suicide risk assessment) for all ages and presenting complaints.
  • Develop strong skills in crisis intervention with all ages and presenting complaints.
  • Increase skills in interacting and coordinating with community stakeholders, including hospital staff and law enforcement.
  • Keep copious notes detailing areas of practice and study reinforced during the learning opportunity.
