About The Position
Crisis Services is hiring Master’s-level Social Workers and Mental Health Counselors for a Mobile Crisis Counselor role. This position involves providing on-site crisis intervention and assessments to individuals experiencing crisis or emergency mental health situations within the community. The primary goals are client safety, suicide prevention, and hospital diversion. The role offers a 3-day work week (three 10-hour days) with full-time benefits, competitive pay, and opportunities for professional development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
- Licensure/permit or permit-eligibility in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
- One (1) year of supervised experience (pre- or post-graduate) providing services to individuals in a mental health or human service setting.
- A valid NYS driver’s license.
- Access to a usable vehicle.
- Ability to respond to the office or visit a site within 30 minutes at all times.
- Demonstrate self-direction, creativity, and motivation.
