About The Position

American Equipment Holdings is seeking a Mobile Crane Inspector for their Anaheim, CA branch. This role involves performing on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes. The inspector will also consult with customers on repair and safety issues, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, generate sales leads, and document work performed. Responsibilities include new crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Travel may be required, and a work vehicle will be provided.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory, as well as the ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3 phase motor control systems
A minimum of 2-year hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance
Aptitude for both electrical and mechanical environments as well as familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment
Willingness to work overtime
Possession of a valid driver’s license with good driving record
Must pass drug-screen and background check
Strong communication skills
Proven commitment to safety
Comfort with working at heights
Crane maintenance or inspection experience required
Proof of right to lawfully work in the United States required

Nice To Haves

A.A. degree or Equivalent vocational-training or experience is preferred
Experience in Variable Frequency drives and PLC programming a plus
Prefer CAL/OSHA Certification, but not required

Responsibilities

Perform on-site preventative maintenance, repairs, and modernizations on electric overhead traveling cranes
Consult with customers on repair and safety related issues
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns
Generate sales leads during service calls
Accurately and neatly document on the service report for the work performed
New crane wiring, assembly, installation, and start-up
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
