AB Facility Services (ABFS) is seeking an experienced and dependable Mobile HVAC Technician to join our growing facilities engineering team. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC systems while delivering exceptional service to our clients throughout the region. As a Mobile HVAC Technician, you will travel to multiple commercial properties daily using a company-provided take-home vehicle. You will be responsible for preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and responding to service requests while ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. This position offers independence, variety, and the opportunity to work across diverse facilities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, customer-focused, and experienced in commercial HVAC systems, controls, and general building maintenance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 5 years in building maintenance or engineering, with at least 2 years in a mobile or multi-site role preferred
  • residential and commercial HVAC techs with at least 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply
  • Experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • EPA Section 608 Technician Certification required
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in using facility management software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to work in varied environments including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor conditions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.

  • associate degree or trade school education in HVAC or a related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with building equipment and systems to minimize downtime and ensure occupant comfort and safety.
  • Be available for emergency repairs and act as first responder to facility issues outside of regular hours, as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, using our facility management software for reporting and tracking purposes.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and building codes.
  • Coordinate and sometimes lead small to medium-sized renovation or upgrade projects within managed properties.
  • Communicate effectively with property managers, tenants, and clients to address concerns and plan maintenance schedules.
