About The Position

The Mobile App Developer Intern interacts and participates with various divisions within Walgreens to help influence key business decisions. The intern assists with and completes projects that contribute to the strategic initiatives and department goals of the supported function. Depending on the track, the role requires mobile development knowledge in either iOS or Android technologies. The position may include delivering a project aligned with strategic priorities and presenting it to a manager or leadership upon completion.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program, with two semesters remaining upon the start date.
• Experience communicating through written reports and presenting information in a formal or classroom setting.
• Experience collaborating with teams.
• Basic-level skill in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Major in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.
• For the iOS track: proficiency in Swift, strong familiarity with Xcode, and a basic understanding of UIKit or SwiftUI and Apple's Human Interface Guidelines.
• For the Android track: proficiency in Kotlin or Java, familiarity with Android Studio, and experience with Jetpack Compose or XML and Material Design.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategy development process for the assigned business unit.
• Use tools and resources to analyze information and make recommendations that support the business.
• Provide day-to-day support across various Walgreens divisions.
• Recommend improvements and updates to policies and processes to leadership.
• Potentially deliver a project aligned with strategic priorities and present it to a manager or leadership upon completion.
