About The Position

We are seeking a Mobile App Automation Engineer with expertise in UI automation using JavaScript, specifically for mobile applications built with RN or React. The role involves comprehensive testing across iOS and Android platforms, including functional and non-functional aspects, as well as app profiling and log verification. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science, testing principles, and automated build processes.

Requirements

Bachelors/Masters in Computer or Electronics.
2-8 years of QA Automation experience.
Strong experience in Mobile App UI Automation - primarily for mobile JS side (RN or React) and any one platform - iOS / Android.
Experience with Appium (RN), Detox (RN), Calabash, Chrome and Safari Testing tools, Espresso (Android), XCUITest(iOS), Postman, JMeter, Rest Assured, Gatling.
Experience with App Profiling (concepts like Rendering performance, battery issues, thread count and memory dumps).
Experience with Log verification – backend and frontend.
Strong understanding of quality, testing principles and writing effective test cases.
Experience in automated build and continuous integration.
Good understanding of black / white / grey / glass box test methodologies.
Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, coding and operating systems.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in the team.

Responsibilities

Perform Mobile App UI Automation, primarily for mobile JS side (RN or React) and one platform (iOS/Android).
Conduct Functional Testing, including Data Validation, UI testing, Device and Make Coverage (iOS and Android), Network Throttling, and Notifications testing.
Execute Non-functional Testing, focusing on GPU overdraw, Rendering performance, Battery issues, CPU, Thread count, Memory consumptions and leaks, Network data transfer (Crashes and ANR).
Utilize tools such as Appium (RN), Detox (RN), Calabash, Chrome and Safari Testing tools, Espresso (Android), XCUITest(iOS), Postman, JMeter, Rest Assured, Gatling.
Perform App Profiling, understanding concepts like Rendering performance, battery issues, thread count, and memory dumps.
Verify logs for both backend and frontend.
Write effective test cases based on a strong understanding of quality and testing principles.
Implement automated build and continuous integration processes.
Apply black/white/grey/glass box test methodologies.
Leverage strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, coding, and operating systems.
