About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join Guardteck’s security team and be part of the impactful work we do. Take ownership of the people, vehicles, and day-to-day operations behind Guardteck’s mobile security services. As Mobile Account Manager / Fleet Manager, you’ll lead guards and supervisors across a portfolio of client sites while overseeing the vehicles, mobile devices, and equipment that keep our operations moving. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you’ll balance client service, frontline leadership, scheduling, fleet management, and after-hours support. This is a hands-on role for an organized and responsive leader who enjoys solving problems, building strong client relationships, and keeping complex operations running smoothly.

Requirements

  • Experience in security operations, mobile services, fleet management, facilities, logistics, property management, or a similar service-driven environment.
  • Previous experience leading frontline employees across multiple sites.
  • Experience managing client relationships and responding to service concerns.
  • Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet safety, GPS tracking, and driver accountability.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach employees and manage performance.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to make decisions in fast-moving situations.
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and incident-investigation skills.
  • Comfort working with scheduling, payroll, GPS, reporting, and workforce-management systems.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
  • Availability to provide occasional after-hours operational support.
  • A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel between client sites.

  • Experience with WinTeam, Shiftboard, PosiTrace, Lighthouse, or similar platforms would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily security operations across a portfolio of mobile and static sites.
  • Serve as a key operational contact for clients, Account Managers, supervisors, and internal support teams.
  • Ensure guards and supervisors consistently meet Guardteck’s policies, service standards, and client expectations.
  • Review security reports, investigate incidents, and follow up on performance or service concerns.
  • Conduct regular site and employee audits to confirm compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Meet regularly with clients and internal stakeholders to review staffing, performance, and operational priorities.
  • Support new contract launches by coordinating staffing, vehicles, equipment, site instructions, and other operational requirements.
  • Keep clients and leadership informed of significant incidents, staffing changes, and site developments.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership to guards, site supervisors, and mobile supervisors.
  • Set clear expectations and hold employees accountable for performance and conduct.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide timely coaching and constructive feedback.
  • Support employee development through mentoring, recognition, and performance management.
  • Ensure employees receive the training, information, equipment, and operational support needed to succeed.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, safety, accountability, and excellent customer service.
  • Review schedules and open shifts daily to ensure all sites are properly staffed.
  • Work closely with dispatch to manage book-offs, emergency coverage, and last-minute requests.
  • Proactively contact employees to fill open shifts and maintain service continuity.
  • Ensure ad hoc requests are accurately entered and staffed through Shiftboard and WinTeam.
  • Confirm that shift descriptions and site instructions accurately reflect client requirements.
  • Arrange supervisor visits to brief and assess employees assigned to new sites.
  • Build permanent staffing plans when temporary coverage becomes extended.
  • Oversee vehicles assigned to the portfolio and ensure they remain safe, clean, and operational.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and vehicle servicing.
  • Maintain accurate fleet and maintenance records in PosiTrace.
  • Review GPS data and address speeding, hard braking, extended stops, unauthorized use, and other concerns.
  • Ensure dashcams are functioning and conduct periodic compliance audits.
  • Follow up on vehicle damage, collisions, maintenance issues, and driver-related incidents.
  • Work with Kandor Fleet Support to resolve fleet concerns and improve vehicle utilization.
  • Promote safe and responsible driving practices across the mobile team.
  • Ensure mobile phones and operational equipment are functional, properly tracked, and available when needed.
  • Troubleshoot device issues and escalate complex concerns to Technical Services.
  • Provide operational support to after-hours dispatch.
  • Respond to urgent staffing issues and emergencies involving mobile or static sites.
  • Escalate serious incidents to senior leadership when required.
  • Make timely decisions to protect employees, clients, vehicles, and service continuity.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout significant incidents.
  • Review employee hours in WinTeam and ensure records are accurate before payroll deadlines.
  • Submit payroll corrections, vacation requests, reimbursements, uniform requests, and other employee documentation.
  • Ensure eligible employees have appropriate averaging agreements in place.
  • Coordinate the movement of keys, devices, uniforms, and equipment with the mobile team.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and complete required follow-up on time.
