About The Position

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a qualified, compassionate individual to join our team as a Team Coordinator serving families in St. Louis City. First Steps is Missouri’s Early Intervention program that provides services to families with children from birth to three years old who have developmental delays or disabilities. Benchmark Human Services has grown to become one of the most respected leaders in the country in the areas of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and behavioral health. We work with people of all ages at home, at work, and in the community through residential programs, employment services, crisis response, early intervention, and more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following plus one year of experience working with families & young children: Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Child/Human Development, Nursing, Psychology, Education Administration, Sociology, Family Science/Studies, Counseling OR other Bachelor's degree with three years of experience working with families and young children.
  • Must have one year leadership/management experience.
  • Meet provider enrollment qualifications for Service Coordinator.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.

Responsibilities

  • Function in both the intake and on-going Service Coordinator (SC) role.
  • Serve as the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) team SC and facilitator of the IFSP process for an assigned caseload.
  • Assist with development and implementation of SPOE administration plan for recruitment.
  • Assist with EIT SPOE administration plan and SPOE administration plan for EI examiners.
  • Assist with the review of the functioning of each EIT consisting of the number of provider authorizations and EI examiners per team, providers per discipline, vacancies and EIT attendance.
  • Facilitate regular EIT meeting within the region.
  • Address complaints regarding providers.
  • Provide and ensure oversight and monitoring of providers to ensure quality services, support team-based care, address billing and provider concerns, coordinate service delivery, and assist with staffing needs.
  • Participate in company and state leadership meetings as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
