About The Position

Franciscan Health Lafayette East is seeking a dedicated MLT/MT/Laboratory Scientist to join their team. This role is crucial for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting results. The position involves performing waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized by the Director, adhering to established procedures for reporting. A key aspect of this role is active participation in all quality control procedures and compliance with quality assurance and quality management standards set by the department, JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other relevant agencies. The individual may also be responsible for specimen collection as needed.

Requirements

• MLT: Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• MT: Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university.
• Or Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training preferred.
