About The Position

But DORS is more than that – it’s a chance for adult students to receive the extra support they need to ensure their personal development as well as their academic success. We understand the challenges our adult students face, and we offer resources to help our students overcome these obstacles. Christel House Indianapolis is currently seeking a full-time ML Teacher at DORS Northwest.

Requirements

  • Valid IN Teaching License
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Competency in using technology in the classroom setting.
  • Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
  • A strong belief in the mission and goals of Christel House Indianapolis.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that facilitate active learning.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the data to adjust instructional strategies.
  • Facilitate student conferences, maintain regular communication with students regards grades, attendance and any other pertinent topics.
  • Participate in appropriate professional activities.
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively, maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships.
  • Other duties assigned.
