Christel House Indianapolis is currently seeking a part-time ML Teacher at DORS Northwest for the 2026-2027 school year, working Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. ML Teachers at Christel House are given the autonomy to implement innovative strategies in their classrooms to cater to diverse learners. They are expected to support the whole child by teaching character education and social and emotional learning strategies, extending student development beyond academics. Teachers benefit from a strong support system including interventionists, instructional coaches, lead teachers, on-site social workers, counselors, and a collaborative staff committed to continuous improvement within the school community.
Requirements
- Valid IN Teaching License
- Bachelor’s degree
- Competency in using technology in the classroom setting.
- Ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
- A strong belief in the mission and goals of Christel House Indianapolis.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that facilitate active learning.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the data to adjust instructional strategies.
- Facilitate student conferences, maintain regular communication with students regarding grades, attendance and any other pertinent topics.
- Participate in appropriate professional activities.
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively, maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships.
- Other duties assigned.
