The Mixer Operator is responsible for entering and reacting to all IPM data as stated in the IPM standards associated with Mixing. This role requires the ability to follow directions from the Team Leader and/or Shift Leader, work closely with others in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively with team members and managers regarding any problems or issues. The operator will also communicate with departing and arriving shifts, and actively participate in all training exercises, classes, and team meetings. Key duties include ordering ingredients by item code, verifying ingredients against the Bill of Materials (BOM) for each SKU, maintaining Internal and External Key Operational Variables (KOVs), and ensuring a clean and orderly work area. The operator must verify the correct formula is being produced by checking both the mix sheet and the Schick system, and safely and efficiently load and unload mixers. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company guidelines is essential. The role also involves making necessary ice/water adjustments, changing refrigeration time/mix times/remix amounts as needed, and loading/unloading remix totes to maintain a constant supply. During shutdown, the operator is responsible for returning all ingredients, remix totes, and ingredient scaling barrels to their proper locations and sanitation. Performing timely and efficient changeovers is also a critical part of the job.
