Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and heavy equipment
  • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence
  • Ability to follow instructions, schedules, and standard operating procedures
  • Effective communication skills and customer‑focused mindset
  • Capability to perform physical tasks associated with loading, unloading, and equipment checks.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.
  • Ability to meet grooming standards necessary for safety requirements or work conditions.
  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
  • Verification of age will be required as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 4,5 and 6‑axle truck or trailer truck to transport materials to and from worksites.
  • Perform pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation
  • Coordinate deliveries with dispatch and customers to meet scheduling and quality expectations
  • Maintain accurate delivery and load documentation
  • Represent Heidelberg Materials through professional, safety‑focused interactions on site
