About The Position

Bull Dairy Foods is seeking Full Time Temporary Mix Operators to join their operations team in Colac. Reporting to the Team Lead, the Mix Operator will be responsible for supporting and operating plant equipment across various departments at their manufacturing sites. A pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen, is required. The role involves working a rotating roster with varying shift times and days, including morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts. Pay starts at $30 per hour with increases after 1 and 3 months, plus additional penalty rates and allowances for different shifts.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to comply with all standards in relation to Occupational Health & Safety Regulations, Hygiene, Quality Assurance and Conduct.
• Ability to identify faults or hazards, and initiate corrective actions.
• Reliable & hard-working.
• Working in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of the homogenisation processes and pasteurisation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control process machinery, which may include several pieces of equipment that are manually, semi automatically, or automatically controlled.
• Work within a small team to meet production requirements, including machine set up and operation of the relevant workstation.
• Maintain the supply of product to ensure continuity of operations, including liaison with Logistics and Production teams.
• Collect and identify samples.
• Maintain documentation pertinent to the work area.
• Undertake training appropriate to the role and provide basic training to other individuals where required.
• Promote Safety, Quality and Process within the business.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
• Ability to work effectively either individually or in a team environment under routine supervision.
