About The Position

Homans Associates (HA) is a subsidiary of the largest independent HVAC/R distribution company in the world, Watsco, Inc. We are the largest distributor of the Mitsubishi Electric brand of Residential Ductless and VRF Commercial products in North America and Latin America. Homans Associates also offers a full line of HVAC residential and commercial equipment, parts, supplies, and accessories. We have locations throughout New England, Up-State New York, the 5 Borrows of NYC, Long Island and New Jersey. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mitsubishi Product Specialist to join our Mitsubishi Product Division supporting our Wilmington, MA branch. In this role you will be responsible for managing projects, driving sales growth, and overseeing business development within assigned geographical markets while reporting directly to the Business Development Manager. This is a salaried position ranging from $120,000–$140,000 annually. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all Mitsubishi business for the VRF Commercial product line in your market(s) as well as ductless M&P (residential & light commercial).
  • Travel required in your geographical market as well as limited travel outside of the territory for meetings, events or training.
  • Supporting sales growth of Mitsubishi products by visiting and consulting mechanical contractors as well as by marketing, specifying and the selection of Mitsubishi product lines.
  • Providing quotes, project design & application utilizing the Mitsubishi Design System Builder program, efficiency comparisons utilizing Energy Estimator tool, website(s) navigation and use, as well as other sales/marketing resources or tools.
  • Cultivating new customers and business opportunities (mechanical contractors, residential contractors, builders, engineers, owner direct accounts etc.).
  • Leading, training and supporting the Homans Associates outside sales team and branch personnel by providing application support on all Mitsubishi products and services.
  • Assisting with their development of product knowledge, understanding of marketing and sales programs, and proper system selection for creating quotes.
  • Working with Mitsubishi customers to maximize marketing programs and resources.
  • Acting as a liaison between specific vendor partner personnel, Homans Associates management and your customer base.
  • Working with Homans technical department, marketing department, and management team to ensure the needs of your customers are met.
  • Working closely with Business Development Managers to strategize, plan, manage APD growth and sales in a collaborative effort.
  • Working closely with management to provide market feedback to foster sales growth, meet fiscal sales goals and market share.
  • Other duties as assigned.
