About The Position
Cavalry Construction & Restoration is a local company providing mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial customers affected by water, mold, and fire damage. The company is seeking a full-time Mitigation Technician. The role involves responding promptly and professionally, paying close attention to detail, and communicating effectively while assisting customers in stressful property damage situations. The technician performs mitigation services, carries out work assigned by the Mitigation Foreman, and helps maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, equipment, and environmental controls. The position is performed in person and regularly involves exposure to water-damaged, mold-affected, or fire-damaged environments. After-hours, weekend, or on-call work may be required as needed.
Requirements
- Professionalism, prompt response, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to perform work to IICRC standards.
- Ability to work after hours, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in water damage restoration, mold remediation, and fire restoration.
Responsibilities
- Perform all mitigation services offered by the company.
- Complete tasks assigned by the Foreman in accordance with IICRC standards.
- Complete jobsite documentation as assigned by the Foreman, including dash, notes, and pictures.
- Communicate effectively with customers.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and decontaminate equipment.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Troubleshoot onsite equipment issues.
- Execute the scope of work provided by the Mitigation Foreman.
- Complete daily checklists of equipment and supplies in vehicles.
- Attend departmental and company meetings as required.
- Maintain the integrity of containment and environmental controls.
- Maintain the appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies in company vehicles.
- Maintain jobsite safety, including wearing proper PPE.
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness and protect customers’ possessions.
