The Mitigation Coordinator serves as a program-level technical specialist within the Planning and Policy Unit of the Aquatic Resource Management (ARM) program. This position supports the development, evaluation, and implementation of DSL-sponsored compensatory mitigation projects through utilization of the Oregon Removal-Fill Mitigation Fund. Responsibilities include project development and coordination, technical research and analysis, contract development and administration, project monitoring and reporting, and providing outreach, information, and regulatory coordination to project partners such as property owners, local governments, and others. This position will report directly to our main Salem office and is represented by the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees (AFSCME). This is a full-time, limited duration position that is expected to become permanent once funding is secure.
