Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field OR Master’s degree plus 3 years of related experience
Active DoD Secret security clearance required at time of hire
15+ years of recent experience modeling communication data systems, preferably involving satellite constellations and ground networks
10+ years of recent experience with satellite-to-ground RF communication protocols, packet prioritization, routing, or traffic modeling
Communication traffic modeling
Satellite constellation architectures
Ground network integration
RF communications protocols
End-to-end packet prioritization and routing
Systems engineering and requirements decomposition

Nice To Haves

Missile tracking systems architecture
Sensor fusion techniques
Satellite tasking and service scheduling logic
Cloud technologies in distributed system design
Image processing (collection, storage, analysis)
Experience supporting DoD space or missile defense programs

Responsibilities

Perform systems engineering activities including decomposition of requirements into traffic data flow models from satellite constellations to ground networks
Develop and validate communication traffic models supporting missile tracking data transport
Support pre-planned and dynamic satellite scheduling and service allocation for missile tracking missions
Analyze missile tracking data flows to validate and optimize network performance and throughput
Contribute to integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of ground entry points, operations centers, and enterprise infrastructure
Support evolution and expansion of PWSA ground communication architecture
