The Boeing Company is looking for Experienced Missions Systems Software Engineers – Embedded to join the Boeing’s Mission Systems Software team in Berkeley, Missouri. This role involves working in a collaborative integrated product team environment to implement features of safety-critical and/or mission-critical flight software. Engineers will gain experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements decomposition, architecture definition, algorithm development, software development, testing (including Hardware in the Loop), and documentation. The software engineers will develop software using a Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline and an agile methodology, with a focus on code quality, security, and automation. Key capability areas of interest include Sensor Fusion, Mission Management, Resource Management, Fire Control and Weapons engagement, Mission Processing, Stores Management Software, Tactical Communications, 3rd Party Software Integration, and Pilot Vehicle Interface Software. Candidates will be matched with teams based on program needs, background, and career goals. Teammates will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle and work within an Agile integrated product team across software, analysis integration and test, sensors, and system test engineers. More senior engineers will be expected to develop technical product plans, lead and mentor junior engineers, and communicate with senior leadership and government counterparts.
