About The Position

Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries is seeking Christ-centered individuals or married couples to serve as Houseparents at their Adams Campus in Chesterfield, SC. This role involves providing overall safety, care, and nurturing for children aged five to eighteen residing in a one-home location. Houseparents will manage cottage routines, including meal preparation, transportation, daily chores, extracurricular activities, schoolwork, personal hygiene, life skills, guidance, discipline, and Bible devotions. The position requires residing in the cottage full-time while on shift, with a flexible schedule of 5 days on and 2 days off. The Adams Campus is an extension of the main campus in Greenwood, SC, and serves children who attend private school and are active in a local South Carolina Baptist Church. Houseparents collaborate with a support team including campus Houseparents, an on-site Campus Administrator, the Greenwood Campus Team, and community partners.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience working with children or in a childcare field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A valid driver's license.
Ability to pass extensive background screenings.

Responsibilities

Provide overall safety, care, and nurturing of the children.
Maintain cottage routines including meal preparation, transportation to and from school and appointments, daily chores, extracurricular activities, schoolwork, personal hygiene and life skills.
Provide appropriate guidance and discipline.
Lead Bible devotions.
Reside in the cottage full-time while on shift.
Work collaboratively with an additional support team including campus Houseparents, an on-site Campus Administrator, and the Greenwood Campus Team along with community partners.
