The Global Security Engineering and Supply Chain (GSE&SC) contract, in direct support of the Department of State's Diplomatic Security Bureau, Protective Technology Branch (DS/SSI/PTB) under the Protective Technology and Countermeasures (PTAC) program, requires a Mission Systems Team Lead to ensure the continued readiness, security, and operational integrity of communications and electronic countermeasure equipment critical to protective operations worldwide. This position is essential to bridge day-to-day technical supervision of Electronics Maintenance Technicians with programmatic and contractual oversight of the PTB Core Services contract, a dual function that no current position adequately fills. The role demands a uniquely qualified individual with a minimum of ten years of technical team leadership and operations management experience, at least four years of hands-on experience with Type 1 encrypted radios, working knowledge of RF theory in electronic countermeasures environments, and the ability to maintain a TOP SECRET clearance and Class I Medical Clearance to support travel to OCONUS critical threat locations. Without dedicated leadership at this level, DS/SSI/PTB risks degraded technical quality control, inconsistent contract deliverable performance, and insufficient coordination between field technician operations and program management—each of which directly threatens the readiness of life-safety and countermeasure systems relied upon by protective details in high-threat environments. Soliciting for this labor category is therefore necessary to maintain mission-critical continuity, ensure compliance with DS/PTB technical and security standards, and safeguard the Department's protective technology capabilities.
