As a Mission Planning Systems Tech, you will have the opportunity to provide expert test and evaluation (T&E) support for various Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office (AST PO) mission planning systems and C4I systems associated with the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS). This includes systems such as TacMobile, TMAAS, Minotaur, DDMC, Common Data Link (CDL), Link-16, TARDIS, and TFAS. You will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for these systems, supporting all phases of ground and flight testing. Your responsibilities will encompass documentation, security and Information Assurance (IA) coordination, execution, asset scheduling, media tracking and configuration management, data dissemination, analysis, metrics development, verification, and reporting. You will develop accurate and repeatable procedures and processes for mission planning systems to meet T&E objectives and maximize asset availability. Collaboration with program staff, supporting organizations, and system-development contractors is key to resolving issues efficiently. You will also coordinate test support activities with other DoD and Navy organizations, and deploy mission planning systems to remote detachment sites, requiring travel up to 15%. Ensuring systems maintain their Authority To Operate (ATO) and meet security guidelines, supporting compliance inspections, and tracking media with configuration management practices are crucial. You will coordinate the dissemination of post-flight data and perform test and evaluation of mission planning systems, analyzing results, assessing compliance, and presenting findings in briefs and reports. Additionally, you will assist in the development of concepts and long-range planning for future mission planning systems.
