About The Position

This internship supports staff in promoting the UMBC Catholic Retrievers, focusing on increasing student engagement and ensuring the long-term sustainability of the ministry. Work can be done remotely, with flexibility for in-person meetings and events. Weekly hours are flexible, ranging from 8-10 hours per week, requiring adaptability for programming needs and special events. Key responsibilities include coordinating Sunday Supper logistics, managing ministry supply inventory, and providing logistical support for various ministry events.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher, etc.)
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate and engage other students to assist with initiatives
  • Quick learner with a willingness to learn
  • A personal vehicle is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Rising sophomores through rising seniors are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Bridge Builders through the Center for Well-Being for Fall 2026 or Spring 2027 (weekly meeting; $250 stipend for participation).
  • Register on Handshake (#10920511).
  • Input new student data as students enroll in the ministry.
  • Order snacks and drinks for the ministry.
  • Coordinate food, beverages, and setup for Sunday Suppers (2:00–8:00 PM on Sundays).
  • Organize supplies at St. Mark, Catonsville.
  • Order and coordinate food, beverages, and supplies as needed for ministry events.
