About The Position

This role focuses on learning to lead and participate in effective Young Life ministry through training and direct field experience. The position involves spiritual development, leadership development, resource development, direct ministry execution, and administrative support, all within the framework of Young Life's Christian mission and values. Employees are expected to adhere to a Statement of Faith and conduct themselves in a manner that reflects biblical standards.

Requirements

• Profess a belief in Jesus Christ as personal Savior and Lord.
• Subscribe to the statements and policies required of all Young Life staff, including the Young Life Statement of Faith.
• Be ready, willing, and able to fulfill ministry functions.
• Refrain from conduct and statements that detract from biblical standards.
• Abide by all policies and practices of Young Life.
• Proven relational skills with both kids and adults.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan fostering spiritual life through prayer, disciplines, fellowship, and church relationships.
• Seek and maintain relationships and disciplines within a church community and the Young Life community.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.
• Care for, recruit, train, and supervise volunteer leaders and committee members.
• Cast vision and develop yearly ministry strategies.
• Raise financial support and maintain good donor care practices.
• Communicate ministry updates to personal donor partners.
• Network and develop strategic relationships with key adults in the community.
• Assist with camp fundraisers.
• Engage in contact work, lead Young Life club and Campaigners/discipleship ministry, and implement camping strategies.
• Serve on a summer assignment at a Young Life camp annually.
• Adhere to all Young Life policies and procedures, maintaining professionalism.
• Manage finances with stewardship, accountability, and transparency.
• Maintain accurate records of kids, leaders, and donors.
• Provide clear, prompt, and professional communication.
• Set and review yearly strategic ministry plans and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
