About The Position

Cowboy Space is looking for a Mission Manager. Our Mission Manager will serve as the mission specialists, driving results and challenging the status quo. Our ideal candidate has a passion for finding solutions, is a highly detail-oriented self-starter, and is hungry to do work that matters. This role is located onsite in San Carlos CA.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience.
5+ years of technical project management experience.
Demonstrated ability to drive complex programs from inception through delivery with a high degree of ownership and accountability
Proven track record of creative problem solving and operating effectively in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Responsibilities

Drive program execution by managing schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
Drive mission execution across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment between engineering, operations, leadership, and external stakeholders
Lead problem-solving efforts by identifying risks, gathering the right stakeholders, driving decision-making, and ensuring timely resolution of complex technical and operational challenges
Build and manage integrated mission schedules, resource plans, priorities, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery against major milestones
Coordinate personnel and cross-functional contributors across multiple workstreams to maintain execution velocity in a fast-paced environment
Establish accountability across teams and proactively remove blockers to keep mission objectives on track
Serve as a mission-driven operator who thrives in ambiguity and takes ownership of outcomes, not just tasks
