About The Position

KBR is seeking a mission-level combat modeler to join their team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. Qualified candidates should be adept at organizing and executing analytic studies within a multidisciplinary team of analysts. Experience and familiarity with the space domain and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience conducting modeling, simulation, and analyses with AFSIM
• High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
• An active TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
• Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
• Experience in DoD space and joint force programs
• Experience with Python, OptDef, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Java
• Experience with data transformations and data visualization
• Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
• Experience with BI Tools
• Experience with Excel VBA

Responsibilities

• Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
• Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
• The analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff
