About The Position

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. KBR is seeking a mission-level combat modeler to join their team at Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs, CO. An active TS/SCI clearance is required. Qualified candidates should be adept at effectively organizing and executing analytic studies within a team of analysts spanning various disciplines. Experience and familiarity with the space domain and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) is required. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
5+ years of experience
Experience conducting modeling, simulation, and analyses with AFSIM
High motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
Ability to work well as part of a team
Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data
An active TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

Master's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, or an Engineering discipline
Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis tools
Experience in DoD space and joint force programs
Experience with Python, OptDef, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or Java
Experience with data transformations and data visualization
Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databases
Experience with BI Tools
Experience with Excel VBA

Responsibilities

Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under study
Coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives
Work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff
