Mission Integration Lead

Neros TechnologiesTorrance, CA
$112,500 - $157,500Onsite

About The Position

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment. As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years. Neros is looking for a Mission Integrations Lead to help build and run our newest team, Mission Integrations. In this role, you'll personally drive our most complex hardware and software integration efforts, manage a small team of Integration Specialists, and work directly with external partners — all while staying deeply hands-on with the technical work.

Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience in the FPV drone space, with demonstrated technical depth others defer to
  • Demonstrated experience building multiple FPV drones from scratch, across multiple sizes (including 8"+ platforms)
  • Strong working knowledge of Betaflight configuration and tuning
  • Comfort with light soldering, wiring, and physical prototyping (e.g., 3D-printed mounts/brackets)
  • Strong working knowledge of ELRS, RF propagation, and spectrum management
  • Prior experience managing or leading others
  • FPV Flight experience (Acro, non-stabilized)
  • FAA Part 107 certification
  • Strong communication skills, with comfort engaging directly with external partners and customers, including in defense/military mission contexts
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Torrance, CA; willing to travel up to 25%

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military experience or exposure to defense operations and TTPs
  • ArduPilot/PX4 experience
  • Experience with contract or commissioned build work for external clients
  • Experience building or scaling a technical team from its early stages

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor a team of Integration Specialists, including scoping and prioritizing their work
  • Personally lead the most complex or highest-visibility integration projects, from feasibility through proof-of-concept
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external partner companies on active integration efforts
  • Conduct technical feasibility assessments for new integration opportunities
  • Represent the team in cross-functional coordination with Engineering and other stakeholders
  • Help define team direction, technical standards, and documentation practices, including a repository of integration documentation (ICDs, CAD files, and related records)
  • Support hiring and onboarding as the team grows

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are considered part of Neros' total compensation package.
