The Mission Experience Specialist plays a lead role in reimagining how the Texas Health Resources Foundation cultivates relationships with prospects and donors. Where traditional cultivation relies on familiar touchpoints, this position is responsible for designing intentional, memorable experiences that surprise and delight, turning ordinary interactions into defining moments that inspire people to give and to stay connected to our mission. This position exists to move our cultivation efforts beyond conventional models. Drawing on the science of memorable experiences, the Mission Experience Specialist works creatively and strategically to break the script, mark milestones, and create the kind of peak moments that earn a first gift and make the next one feel like the natural continuation of a relationship the donor already values. Donor retention depends heavily on the experience between the first and second gift, and this role is designed to strengthen that bridge. Rather than carrying a personal portfolio, the Mission Experience Specialist serves as a resource and partner to frontline fundraisers, providing the tools, ideas, and coordination that allow gift officers to deliver distinctive cultivation experiences at scale. This position collaborates with and impacts all areas of the Foundation, partnering closely with the donor relations function, which holds the parallel focus on stewardship.
