About The Position

Primarily responsible for providing data center design services and Team Leader. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of Data Center technology infrastructure design practices, Hyper-Scaler Standards, and the ability to utilize that expertise to liaise with the client, developer, installation contractors, and all related trades design team members. This includes the ability to manage a design team of 3 to 5 technology engineers, manage client expectations, meet deadlines, develop and coordinate the appropriate design solutions for the ultimate goal of a successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Center Infrastructure Design & Construction
  • REVIT and BIM Software Skills - Mandatory
  • Minimum 8-years’ experience
  • Solid Revit Modeling Capabilities
  • Must have experience with Large Hyper-scale Data Center Design Projects
  • Detailed Design Coordination within the design model interfacing with multiple Design Teams: Electrical, Mech, Structural, Civil, controls, etc.
  • Excellent Client Facing skills, and Experience in Liaising with the client, tenants, General Contractors and installing sub-contractors.

  • Preferred Certifications (Not required): RCDD, OSP, PMP, PSP, RTPM, CTS.

Responsibilities

  • SYSTEMS: ICT Data Infrastructure design implementation for Data Center Technology projects: Outside/Inside Fiber Plant, Data Cabling Pathways, Conveyance, Grounding, Wi-Fi, CELL DAS, ERRCS, Radios and related communications systems.
  • PROJECTS: Hyper-Scaler Single Tenant, Co-Location and Enterprise Data Centers: from 1MW to 1.2GW and multi-provider campuses.
  • DESIGN: Detailed, fully coordinated Design of Construction Documents (drawings and specifications).
  • REVIEW: Design review utilizing Revit, Autodesk Construction, BuildingConnected and Bluebeam Sessions.
  • FIELD INSPECTIONS: Onsite inspections and development of field reports with national travel to project sites within the continental US.
  • QUALITY CONTROL: Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support or testing activities.
  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Assist with Business Development and Client Outreach Events
