About The Position

Automated Logic, a Carrier company, is hiring an experienced field engineering professional to serve as the primary technical owner for turnkey building automation project delivery. The role involves navigating complex system architectures, providing high-level mentorship to field team members, and delivering reliable outcomes for customers. Candidates should be proficient with Automated Logic products and/or building automation systems, and able to travel as project priorities shift. The position requires 75% domestic travel. Candidates should live within 75 miles of a major airport. Work includes installing, commissioning, and troubleshooting DDC systems; developing complete software solutions, including sequences, graphics, and alarms; coordinating with project managers and other teams; and maintaining expert-level project documentation. The engineer also advises customers and mentors junior technicians while delivering safe, high-performance systems in complex customer environments. The annual salary range is $79,000 to $158,000. The position may also be eligible for short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 5 years of professional experience in building automation or HVAC.
Able to travel domestically 75% of the time and live within 75 miles of a major airport.
Valid, current driver's license and insurability by the company's insurance carrier.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as squatting and climbing for extended periods.
Ability to work more than 8 feet above grade and proficient use of ladders and motorized lift equipment.

Responsibilities

Own installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of DDC systems.
Deliver complete software solutions, including sequencing, graphics, and alarms.
Act as the lead technical resource and mentor for junior technicians.
Advise customers and help ensure predictable, high-quality outcomes.
Partner with project managers to manage risk and align project execution.
Coordinate with teams to support clear communication and reliable delivery.
Travel as needed and adapt to changing priorities, project demands, and field workloads.
Apply expertise in Automated Logic products, system architectures, and ASHRAE guidelines to deliver safe, high-performance systems.
Maintain commissioning logs, progress tracking, and other expert-level documentation to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
Deliver site-specific technical training to building owners and operators.
