About The Position

This position supports the US Space Force Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground, Management and Integration (GMI) program. The program is responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). This role involves the integration, testing, and maintenance of ground entry points, operations centers, and enterprise test and checkout capabilities.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Active Department of Defense SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or STEM and 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree and 6+ years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer recent designing and developing systems that can solve complex problems using algorithms
  • Prefer recent algorithm development and tuning for specific mission parameters
  • Recent experience with missile tracking systems design and architecture, and sensor fusion techniques
  • Recent experience designing logic, assessing and scheduling satellite services to track missiles

Responsibilities

  • Systems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and system design behaviors
  • Pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads capabilities to track missiles
  • Analysis and fusion of missile tracking data provided by satellite to the ground for processing and rapidly providing and disseminating the information
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
