About The Position

Radiance is seeking a highly qualified and motivated aerospace radar engineer, physicist, or computer scientist to serve as a Missile Radar System Modeling and Simulation Analyst for foreign air and missile defense weapon systems. The candidate will work with system engineers and other modelers to review, update, test, and document changes to radar missile models based on finished all-source intelligence products, ensuring the models meet technical and performance specifications. Built in Simulink and converted to C++, these models are used by the Air Force and Navy to train pilots and test flight software. Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of physics, s will need to have a good understanding of radar operations, a solid foundation in modeling and simulation, and working knowledge of analysis tools such as Matlab/Simulink.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or similar relevant technical field
• US citizenship with a TS/SCI clearance.
• Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate successfully with other internal and external stakeholders
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytic, inference, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
• At least 3 years of experience in a related engineering field
• Prior experience characterizing and/or modeling missiles

Responsibilities

• Review, update, test, and document changes to radar missile models based on finished all-source intelligence products.
• Ensure models meet technical and performance specifications.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively and efficiently with other technical government and contractor engineers and scientists.
• Present findings and recommendations to appropriate groups and help determine actionable steps based on the findings.
• Prepare written, technical reports to management, indicating analytical findings that will be used to support the Intelligence Community.
• May provide work leadership and training to lower level professional and technical staff.
