About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical support for assessing and developing the future Missile Defense System. This role involves evaluating MD threats, capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities, and developing potential system mitigations and capability evolutions at the architecture level. The engineer will support these efforts by sourcing, generating, and organizing engineered threat data, developing threat scenarios, and reviewing current threat intelligence reports. The position also includes supporting analysis efforts of MDS architecture studies on the DoD High Performance Computing (HPC) and contributing to Missile Defense Wargaming efforts. Quality assurance of team analysis products and mentoring younger engineers are also key aspects of the role. This position is part of the Federal Solutions team, which delivers resources to US government customers in defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental areas.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in STEM and 12+ years' experience
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Extensive knowledge of the current MDS architecture and/or foreign missile systems
  • Experience with Excel and data analysis
  • Experience with MATLAB

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Specialized MDS analysis experience in: threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
  • Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving future concepts
  • Experience with TGx, HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus
  • Experience with BMD Benchmark
  • Experience with large datasets and data organization methods
  • Experience working in the Missile Defense Agency
