Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has an exciting career opportunity for a Missile Defense System Architecture Engineer who will be involved in leading or participating in analysis of future Missile Defense System (MDS) architectures and concepts, and modeling and simulation (M&S) tool development to support MDS architecture assessment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM Field with 7+ years of experience in missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project
  • Active Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with the definition and use of advanced concepts and algorithms for the M&S of MDS architectures
  • Experience with M&S and analysis of MDS architectures involving both directed and kinetic energy weapons and other future concepts
  • Experience with HPC Systems, Python, and Git is a plus
  • Experience with BMD Benchmark
  • Experience supporting systems engineering-related architecture design activities
  • Specialized MDS analysis experience in threat characterization, trajectories, RF sensing/signatures, and/or EO/IR sensing/signatures
  • MBSE experience related to missile defense system architectures

Responsibilities

  • Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities against current and future threats to develop potential architecture solutions that mitigate gaps and/or improve performance
  • Assist with the development of analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools using the DoD High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems, assess analysis results, prepare analysis briefs/reports, and provide reviews of analysis products
  • Support modeling & simulation (M&S) efforts related to the above to tailor tools to specific analysis plans
  • Perform other duties as assigned
